The Community College of Denver is a two-year college, which shares the Auraria campus with Metropolitan State College of Denver and University of Colorado at Denver in downtown Denver. The college offers a full range of instruction in basic skills, university transfer classes, and occupational areas, including career upgrades. CCD maintains continuous accreditation through the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) of the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Degrees:

Associate of Arts and Science degrees which are transferable. Associate of General Studies degree (transferability depends on the requirements of the receiving institution). Associate of Applied Science for job skill upgrades and those entering skilled, medical, and paraprofessional occupations. CCD offers degrees and certificates in: Accounting, Art, Behavioral Sciences, Business Administration, Business Office Technology, Liberal Arts, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Early Childhood Education, Teacher Education, Emergency Medical Technician, Engineering (Architectural, Mechanical, CAD), Graphic Design, Human Services, Information Technology, Medical Office, Nursing (CNA, LPN, RN), Paralegal, Public Administration, Public Security Management, Radiologic Technology, Trades & Industry, Veterinary Technology and more! Location:

Classes are held on the Auraria campus and at off-campus community campus locations, including CCD North, CCD East, CCD Southwest and CCD Lowry.  Click here for a Community Campus location near you!

Schedule:

Day, evening/weekend, and online classes are offered on a 15 week semester schedule with some accelerated and late entry offerings. Mid-semester offerings are available at some Community Campuses.

Admission:

Admission to the college is open to high school graduates, those who have been awarded a GED, and non-graduates who are 16 years of age or older who have the ability to benefit from its programs of instruction. A basic skills assessment test or waiver from the assessment test is required of all new students. This Free online application link will take you to the Community Colleges of Colorado system web page. You should also sign up for the College Opportunity Fund (COF), a state program that pays a portion of the college-level course tuition for ALL Colorado residents at state schools, regardless of age or income.

Tuition:

At just under $73 per credit hour for COF-eligible resident students, a three-credit class costs under $330 including Auraria campus fees. Branch campus students pay under $220 for a three-credit class. Tuition is due upon registration to confirm classes. Students may register and make payments on tuition; however, payment of tuition is due in full by the end of the semester. VISA, MasterCard, cash, and third party (employer) billings are accepted.  Because tuition rates are subject to change, please consult our tuition site for the most up-to-date costs and payment information.

Non-credit Professional Development:

CCD also offers a range of non-credit professional development courses through its Performance Solutions division. Offerings include: Spanish and other languages, SQL database administration and Windows servers, MS Office application courses, personal trainer certification, real estate investing and more.
