Attuned to market trends and the needs of adult professionals, University College programs offer the academic rigor and innovative curricula that have made the University of Denver a trailblazer in higher education. University College is dedicated to providing outstanding adult education to Denver area students and, via our online programs, to those living around the world.

As DU’s school of professional and continuing education, University College is pleased to announce that those professionals with at least one year of transferable undergraduate credits can now complete their degrees, evenings or online through the Bachelor of Arts Completion Program.

We also offer master’s degrees in twelve program areas with over 40 academic certificates, as well as individual courses in a variety of study areas. Customized corporate programs are also available.

Degrees:

Bachelor of Arts, Master of Professional Studies, Master of Applied Science, and Master of Liberal Studies degrees are offered at University College.

Certificate Programs:

Over 40 academic certificates are available within each of University College’s program areas. Certificates usually require eight courses and these credits may be applied to a master's degree requirements should you wish to continue your education.

Schedule:

Courses taken within degree and certificate programs are offered in five week, ten week, and weekend formats. Courses usually meet one evening per week, and the hours of the class meeting vary according to format. Many students find that they can reach their goals faster by taking more than one course per term. Most courses, and most certificates and degrees, are offered online. Most courses are offered in a multi-method format using both online and on site instruction. The course management system is eCollege.

Admission:

The Bachelor’s degree program requires at least one year of transferable undergraduate credits and three years of work experience. Master's degree programs require a bachelor's degree and an undergraduate GPA of 3.0. Conditional admittance is allowed in certain circumstances. Certificate programs generally do not require an undergraduate degree, although courses are taught at the graduate level. Degree and certificate courses must be taken for credit with a B or better and a GPA of 3.0 maintained.

Tuition:

For current on campus and online tuition rates, please refer to our Web site, www.universitycollege.du.edu.
